New videos added to Aquatherm, Inc. website

The polypropylene piping company has added new videos detailing three different heat fusion methods: Butt fusion, socket fusion, and outlet fusion.

Orem, UT -- (April 07, 2009) - Aquatherm, Inc. announced that its website, www.aquathermpipe.com, has been updated with new installation video content. The three new videos show different types of heat fusion processes: socket fusion, a fusion outlet installation, and a butt fusion. They are available at www.aquathermpipe.com/videos.html.

Butt fusion, as pipe engineers know, is a method of joining forms of thermoplastic resin. The ends of the two pieces are heated to a molten state and then rapidly pressed together, forming a homogeneous bond.

This process (used on Aquatherm's 6-inch, 8-inch, and 10-inch pipes) illuminates one of the core competencies of the company's product line: Properly executed fusion welds can last a lifetime and two pieces becoming one means leaks are virtually nonexistent. Additionally, the fusion process eliminates the need for toxic materials, glues and resins, and open flames from the piping installation equation.

Each video shows an engineer performing the fusion techniques in a lab environment, but the connections can quickly and efficiently be performed in the field by properly trained professionals, providing labor savings, not to mention material cost savings.

The new videos bring the number of Aquatherm videos on the company's website to a dozen, with more to come.

Aquatherm systems come in pipe dimensions ranging from 3/8" to 10" (equivalent) and provide an extremely attractive alternative to metal and plastic piping systems in the commercial HVAC, plumbing, and industrial markets (and others).

Aquatherm's low material, installation, and nonexistent maintenance costs, combined with environmental friendliness and code approvals (see below) position it as the piping system of the future. Aquatherm Greenpipe® and Climatherm are ideal for hot- and cold-water distribution, water service, chilled water, condensing water, and radiant heating applications, among others.
